Manufacturing Company located near O'Hare is looking for a HR / Payroll coordinator to join our team. In addition to the HR / Payroll duties, you will provide support to our accounting team in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank recs and more. If you are a multi tasker who likes a fast paced environment, please read on! We need you to hit the ground running. Experience is a must. Duties will include full cycle weekly payrolls for salary, hourly and temps. Other HR duties include on boarding all new hires, daily tracking of attendance, reconciliation of benefits to payroll deductions, personnel files maintenance and more. You will work directly with plant supervisor personnel to align daily temp requirements with staffing agencies. You will communicate with employees of all levels regarding all personnel issues. Issues may include FMLA administration, 401K questions, benefit administration questions, disciplinary actions etc. Accounting duties include full back up to our AR and AP positions. You will assist periodically but will serve as full back up when needed. Experience in invoicing, EDI requirements, Accounts Payable, 3 way matching, check runs a plus. In addition, you will assist the accounting team with monthly bank recs, month end closing entries, month end closing reconciliations and more. Basic accounting knowledge and experience a must. Growing drilling company is looking for a Payroll/Accounting Clerk who has experience with Davis Bacon wages and certified payroll reports. This position requires a person who is very detail oriented.
Duties:
Manage the company's weekly certified payroll/per diem and biweekly regular payroll
Prepare and verify weekly certified payroll rates and maintain labor compliance records for company and subs
Figure monthly apprenticeship training fund
Process garnishments and child support orders
Enter weekly payroll into accounting system
Support AP department when needed
Knowledge:
2-3 years' experience with payroll and using Paychex online
Experience dealing with Davis Bacon wages and certified payroll reports a plus
Multi-state payroll experience
Must have knowledge of Excel/Word/Outlook
Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus
